Here is the prayer I’ve been feeling: “Leve Palestina” (“Long Live Palestine”) by Kofia, the Swedish Palestinian solidarity band started by Nazareth-born musician George Totari after fleeing Palestine in 1967. This song has become an anthem of the Palestinian liberation movement worldwide.
Today, on MLK Day, we are remembering the revolutionary spiritual leader and organizer Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, who reminded us again and again that there comes a time when silence is betrayal, when our souls demand that we speak loudly and with moral clarity, having heard the cries of the oppressed.
I share my new adaptation of this song today, for your hearts and souls as you feel and mourn and spend time in prayer and action. May it spread in a wave of joyful resistance to tyranny and fascism in all forms, like poppies across a wild countryside racked from bombs. Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for bringing this energy into every space of our lives.
Free Palestine, Free all Lands, Free all Peoples!
Solidarity Forever and *One Liberating Love*

lyrics
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
Leve, leve, leve Palestina
Leve, leve, leve Palestina
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
Long Live, long live, long live Palestine
Long Live, long live, long live Palestine
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
And we have plowed this very earth
And harvested this very wheat
And we have gathered the citron fruit
And we have pressed the olives
And all the world knows about our soil
And all the world knows about our soil
Leve, leve, leve Palestina
Leve, leve, leve Palestina
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
And we have thrown our stones at
Soldiers and policemen
And we've resisted genocide
Even when all we see is death
And all the world knows about our struggle
And all the world knows about our struggle
Long Live, long live, long live Palestine
Long Live, long live, long live Palestine
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
And we will liberate our land
From imperialism
And we will heal every land
With mutualism
And all the world will come to bear witness
And all the world will come to bear witness
Long Live, long live, long live Palestine
Long Live, long live, long live Palestine
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
Leve, leve, leve Palestina
Leve, leve, leve Palestina
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
Leve Palestina och krossa sionismen
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism
Long live Palestine, abolish Zionism

Fresh latin hip hop fusion telling a story of the epochal crossroads we have reached. Can't recommend this album highly enough to hip hop heads, latin music lovers, and revolutionaries everywhere. Adam Gottlieb & OneLove
One of the most profound albums I’ve heard in a long time. Grounded in struggle, with an arc that shows clear artistic integrity with an underlying spirituality, without ever preaching or ranting. Adam Gottlieb & OneLove
Such beautiful music. Intelligent songwriting and arrangements, clean production. Jazzy, spacious, classic. Feels like a musical descendent of Jamila Woods, Tracy Chapman, India Arie, and Akenya. Adam Gottlieb & OneLove

Sanguine but uplifting, the Toronto singer-songwriter's "transfigured" folk songs ponder existential themes with grace and wonder. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 21, 2023
