“After Capitalism” embodies a hopeful vision of the future in which we have set the world right. It imagines a time when police are no longer necessary, when people are guaranteed their basic needs for food, housing and healthcare and we are able to discover what it means to “finally be human beings.” It dreams of a world where moviegoers will find that “previews won’t all be the same” and people riding on buses “won’t be so tired all the time.” This jubilant Ska/Pop-Punk track celebrates the hoped-for revolutionary outcome of all the work and struggle we as a society are currently putting ourselves through, and reminds us that there is a goal to these struggles. A joyous finale to an epic social-justice concept album entitled “All of You,” the song uplifts and strengthens those of us in the movement to remember what we are ultimately fighting for. Victorious horns supplied by the horn section of Chicago’s Reggae-Jazz band “Fatbook” (Constantine Alexander, trumpet; Roy McGrath, tenor saxophone; Evan Jacobson, trombone) take listeners to an ecstatic and rapturous climax. The song is fun, deep, and cleansing in times of such daily hardship and uncertainty as we are currently living through, and we hope you play it again and again!
lyrics
After Capitalism (We Will Be Free)
After capitalism, I won’t have to market my music
or work any day job to do it
or worry about paying bills
After capitalism, your food won’t come from California
unless you live in California
and by the way, it will be free!
In fact, me personally, I probably won’t grow my own food
Cuz after we get rid of capitalism, I’ll still have way too much to do!
We will be free, la la la la!
We will be free, ya ya ya ya!
We will be free, Oh,
After capitalism, we’ll start being part of our planet,
and start to remember our magic,
and eat only really good food
After capitalism, the city won’t be so depressing
on buses we’ll all be more pleasant
cuz we won’t be so tired all the time.
No one will work in a factory, or serve popcorn or scan things in shops
Cuz after we get rid of capitalism, computers can do all those jobs!
We will be free, la la la la!
We will be free, ya ya ya ya!
We will be free, Oh,
What would you do if you didn’t have to worry about basic needs?
What would you do with your life if you knew you were part of one huge family?
After capitalism the people will go to the movies
and there won’t be any commercials
and previews won’t all be the same
After capitalism, we won’t be afraid of our neighbors
our streets won’t be filled with policemen
we’ll work out our problems somehow
After capitalism, we’ll finally be human beings,
cuz in a communal society, we’ll find out what that truly means!
We will be free, la la la la!
We will be free, ya ya ya ya!
We will be free, Oh!

Fresh latin hip hop fusion telling a story of the epochal crossroads we have reached. Can't recommend this album highly enough to hip hop heads, latin music lovers, and revolutionaries everywhere. Adam Gottlieb & OneLove
One of the most profound albums I’ve heard in a long time. Grounded in struggle, with an arc that shows clear artistic integrity with an underlying spirituality, without ever preaching or ranting. Adam Gottlieb & OneLove
Such beautiful music. Intelligent songwriting and arrangements, clean production. Jazzy, spacious, classic. Feels like a musical descendent of Jamila Woods, Tracy Chapman, India Arie, and Akenya. Adam Gottlieb & OneLove
